Struggling with, in what I”m writing — this novel in stories, not knowing what will happen. (Again.)
That long slog. Just writing, writing, writing to find out what will happen with this character. Will it add up to something? Will he go somewhere? Can it be or become something meaningful — something worth reading about?
These are the hard parts. The hardest parts. Trying to trust that this dallying around on paper is going to become.

Hi there!
Just tag searched and stumbled on your blog, its very interesting.
I’m pondering some of the same questions myself about writing.
How far are you in your novel? And..
Just what is ‘liminality’ ?

Thanks for stopping by, and your compliment. I hope to visit your blog when I can spend some time there. How far am I into the novel … one-third? maybe? It’s hard to tell at this point. Maybe some parts will stay and maybe some won’t, you know? Way too early to tell, I think. But thanks for asking.
Liminality is that state of being between different existential planes, or worlds; a threshold. The place between sleep and awake, for example. Between different levels of consciousness or awareness. At least, this is how I mean it.
